P-POD Energy Savers

P-POD for Projectors - AS SEEN AT ECOSCHOOLS SHOW 2009

Projector lamps are both expensive and delicate. Almost all projectors utilise bulbs with a limited useful lifetime. The POD Energy Saver for Projectors, the P-POD, is a simple plug and save device. Plugging directly into the projector, the unit ensures that the projector is switched off at pre-programmed times of the day.

Money Saving: Leaving a projector on unnecessarily does not just waste energy, it also wastes money. Projector bulbs have a lifetime of around 2000 hours and can cost more than £300; a single projector left on for just one night a month can cost a facility more than £30 a year, excluding energy costs.

Intelligent Control:
You can’t just turn a projector off at the plug- projectors must be powered down correctly, ensuring that the bulb is cooled by the projector’s internal fan. The P-POD ensures the correct power-off sequence is initiated to ensure the lifetime of the bulb is not reduced.

Programmable: The P-POD software allows quick and easy programming of the hours in which the projector would normally be in use. These need only be programmed once after which the device will beep discretely a minute before the power management routine will turn off the projector. This beep allows a user to temporarily delay the P-POD power management for use outside normal hours.

Long Lasting: The unit is self contained and will run on an internal battery for up to five years.
