ABI were approached by a TV production company and asked to produce several custom props for a series being filmed for Sky1. These included a large, colourful 'scoreboard' (left) which is connected to a treadmill and shows how far has been walked by lighting up one or more large indicators. The aim was to encourage the participant to exercise, as after they had lit all the lights, they were allowed on a holiday to Disneyland!
Based on the success of our work, ABI were involved in 2 more episodes of the same series, producing an intelligent ‘safe’ which only opened after the participant had walked a target distance on the treadmill, and a TV monitor, which only switched on power to the TV when an exercise bike or cross trainer were being used!
ABI’s cost effective solutions and quick turnaround proved invaluable for the client who was very happy with the end result!
